Introduction

Elastic Yarn (also known as Spandex-covered or High-Stretch Yarn) is the key to form-fitting comfort and athletic performance. GC FIBER specializes in Air-Covered Yarn (ACY) and Single/Double Covered Yarn (SCY/DCY), where a core of high-stretch elastane (spandex) is wrapped with protective layers of polyester or nylon. This structure combines the extreme stretch (500%-700%) of the core with the durability, dyeability, and soft touch of the outer fiber.

Our elastic yarns are characterized by their High Power of Recovery—meaning they return to their original shape instantly without "bagging" or permanent deformation. This is critical for high-compression medical garments and professional swimwear. We also offer "Chlorine-Resistant" variants for pool use and "High-Tenacity Stretch" for industrial work pants that require both flexibility and abrasion resistance.
