Introduction

Reflective Yarn is a specialized high-visibility fiber designed to enhance safety in low-light environments. At GC FIBER, we utilize Retroreflective Glass Bead Technology, where millions of microscopic high-index glass beads are bonded to a polyester or nylon core. When light (from headlights or flashlights) hits these beads, it is reflected directly back to the source, making the wearer visible from hundreds of meters away. Unlike reflective tapes that are sewn onto a garment, our yarn can be knitted or woven directly into the fabric, providing a seamless and flexible high-visibility solution.

We offer two primary types: Coated Reflective Filament for maximum brightness and Blended Reflective Yarn for a softer hand-feel in fashion applications. Our reflective yarns are engineered to meet international safety standards (EN ISO 20471), ensuring that the reflective property does not fade after repeated washing or exposure to the elements. This yarn is the industry choice for safety vests, nighttime running gear, and "glow-in-the-dark" fashion trends.
