Application
300D is chosen where fabric needs strength, cover and wear resistance. Typical uses are:
Bags and luggage: oxford-type woven fabrics in 300D polyester for backpacks, totes and cases.
Upholstery and home decor: sofa covers, cushions, curtains and drapery.
Outdoor fabrics: tent flys, covers, awnings and canopies, with UV-treated or dope-dyed yarn recommended.
Heavy knits: fleece, velour and warm knitwear when used as DTY.
Narrow fabrics and trims: straps, tapes and decorative cords.
Industrial and utility cloth: covers, liners and backing fabrics.
Use FDY when you want a smooth, sharp surface and DTY when you want bulk and a soft hand.
Advantages
Body and strength: the heavier count gives fabric structure and abrasion resistance.
Choice of hand: filament count from 96F to 192F lets you tune firm versus soft.
Three yarn types: FDY, DTY and POY at the same denier for different processes.
Custom color: dope-dyed 300D gives stable color for outdoor and bag fabrics.
Factory support: inspection after each process and OEM development.
