Introduction

Low-Pilling Yarn is engineered to solve the most common aesthetic failure in synthetic knitwear: the formation of "fuzz balls" (pills) on the fabric surface. Pilling occurs when high-strength fibers migrate to the surface and become entangled. GC FIBER’s low-pilling technology uses a specialized polymer modification that slightly reduces the fiber's flex life. This allows any tiny pills that do form to break away easily and cleanly, rather than remaining anchored to the garment.

Our low-pilling range is particularly effective for blends with natural fibers like wool or cotton. By matching the "breaking strength" of the synthetic fiber to the natural one, the fabric maintains a clean, "new" appearance even after hundreds of wear-and-wash cycles. This is the gold standard for school uniforms, corporate workwear, and high-end sweaters where long-term professional appearance is mandatory.

  • Q: Does lower tenacity mean the fabric is weak?
  • A: Not at all. The tenacity is still higher than cotton; it is only reduced enough to ensure pills fall off naturally.
