Carbon Fiber Yarn

-- Steady & Reliable Manufacturer --

Introduction

Carbon Fiber Yarn consists of extremely thin strands of carbon atoms (5–10μm in diameter). It is the ultimate material for high-stiffness, low-weight applications. GC FIBER offers carbon fiber in various "Tow" sizes (3K,6K,12K), referring to the number of filaments per bundle. These yarns are chemically inert, electrically conductive, and have an incredibly low coefficient of thermal expansion, meaning they do not change shape when heated.

Our Carbon Fiber is primarily used as a reinforcement in composite materials. When combined with epoxy resins, it creates parts that are stiffer than steel yet lighter than aluminum. Its unique aesthetic and "tech" appeal have also made it popular in luxury consumer goods and automotive interiors. [Image showing the high-magnification cross-section of a 12K Carbon Fiber Tow]
