Introduction

UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Yarn is the "miracle fiber" of the modern era. Often referred to as the world's strongest fiber, it is 15 times stronger than steel by weight and even stronger than Aramid. GC FIBER’s UHMWPE is produced via a gel-spinning process that creates extremely long, aligned polymer chains. This results in a yarn with a density lower than water (0.97 g/cm3), meaning it floats, yet it possesses incredible resistance to abrasion, moisture, and UV radiation.

Unlike Aramid, UHMWPE is highly resistant to chemicals and sunlight, making it the preferred choice for marine environments. Its low coefficient of friction makes it "colder" to the touch and extremely "slippery," which is why it is often used in premium cooling fabrics and high-performance fishing lines.

High thermal conductivity: It dissipates heat quickly, giving fabrics a natural "cooling" feel, making them cool and comfortable to the touch.

Impact resistance: It can absorb extremely high amounts of energy, performing exceptionally well in bulletproof, stab-proof, and industrial impact protection applications.
