Application
This yarn is chosen where a fabric needs the practical durability of polyester along with the softness and dye response of nylon, without the cost of a 100% nylon fabric. Typical uses include:
- Activewear and sportswear: leggings, base layers, and compression wear that benefit from natural crimp and stretch.
- Socks and hosiery: where softness against the skin and good recovery are both important.
- Swimwear linings and intimate apparel: soft hand-feel combined with dimensional stability after repeated washing.
- Home textiles: upholstery and curtain fabrics that need a smoother, more refined surface than pure polyester.
- Technical and functional textiles: fabrics requiring balanced moisture management and mechanical strength.
Advantage
- Best of both fibers in one yarn: polyester strength and stability paired with nylon's softness and dye affinity.
- Natural crimp without added spandex: the side-by-side structure self-crimps after heat setting, giving stretch and bulk at a lower cost.
- Better dyeability than pure polyester: the nylon portion takes acid dyes well, which can widen your color options and shorten dyeing time.
- More cost-efficient than 100% nylon: you get much of nylon's hand-feel benefit while keeping raw material cost closer to polyester.
- Stable, repeatable ratios: as the factory running the spinning line, we hold the PET/PA ratio and cross-section consistent order after order.
